From Labrador the plan is to cross to Greenland and then to Iceland, Ireland, England then France and to travel through Europe West to East by bike. From Eastern Europe I want to travel south through Africa to South Africa, then east to India and across south Asia before working my way north through China , Japan and Korea into Russia and across the Straits back to Wales, where I started from.

I expect this part of the trip to take 2-3 winter seasons, assuming that I cannot get started from Wales until sometime in October or early November. I'm still debating a route to follow. Wales to Shishmaref to Kotzebue is clear; from there do I follow the coast or head straight east?

Going straight east has the advantage of more communities and people but the big disadvantage of more difficult terrain to cross, especially in Alaska and the Yukon. Once in the Territories and Nunavut the terrain is flatter, if emptier, and I will have to swing south in any event to go around Hudson's Bay, where the ice is too often not safe.

Around the world we go, in slow steps

This is to help plan and then share my dream trip. I will be going around the world but it will take a long time as the first step of the trip will be a dog team trip from Wales, Alaska to the easternmost tip of Labrador.
